GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – 1 Bold Step is thrilled to announce that its President, Adam Clarke, has been recognized as a 2023 recipient of the Crain’s Grand Rapids Business prestigious 40 Under 40 award. This award acknowledges and celebrates 40 emerging business leaders who have been instrumental in making a positive impact on the West Michigan community.
The 40 Under 40 awards, now in their 21st year, have consistently honored young professionals who have achieved remarkable success in their careers while simultaneously contributing significantly to the betterment of the local community. To date, the award has celebrated the accomplishments of over 600 dynamic individuals who have demonstrated their dedication to personal and civic growth.
Adam Clarke's journey has come full circle, reflecting his unwavering commitment to the Grand Rapids community. He began his career as an intern at Local First, where he played a pivotal role in promoting and supporting local businesses. However, his journey did not stop there. With a technology background, Adam has ventured into the tech community and brought his expertise to 1 Bold Step to collaborate with numerous software and IT firms, specializing in customer software and ERP solutions.
Now, 1 Bold Step into a thriving company with a team of over 16, and working diligently to purchase and completely renovate office space in downtown Grand Rapids, further solidifying his commitment to the city's growth.
"I've always had a passion for Grand Rapids and the development of local businesses," Clarke shared.
"It's incredible to see how I've been able to help build something that is making a real impact on the community, just as I had envisioned years ago. Beyond that, creating a positive work culture where our team members feel secure, respected, and valued, has been a top priority. In the past year, 1 Bold Step has experienced remarkable growth and continued success. The agency was recognized as one of Michigan's Top 50 Businesses to Watch in 2022. The agency also achieved HubSpot Onboarding Accreditation, expanding 1 Bold Step’s capabilities and services for clients who utilize HubSpot or are considering the CRM platform. Only 30 other companies in North America have earned this accreditation. Most recently, the agency won the 2023 Best of MichBusiness award in the Marketing & PR Prophets category.
